THE OPPORTUNITY
You’re an experienced Structural Engineer ready to step into a broader leadership role—one where you can influence project delivery, support team development, and help shape the future direction of a growing business. At Stantec, you’ll join our highly regarded Civil & Structural team in Cardiff, working on complex and varied projects within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will help lead the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to construction, maintaining oversight across technical quality, programme, commercial performance, and client outcomes.
You’ll guide and support project teams, ensuring designs are coordinated effectively and delivered in line with Stantec’s quality assurance standards. Alongside technical leadership, you’ll contribute to resource planning, project management, and the ongoing development of engineers and technicians within the team.
The role will also involve a strong client-facing element. You’ll build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and wider stakeholders, contributing to business development activities including fee proposals, bids, networking, and supporting long-term client growth.
You’ll also contribute to wider team and business initiatives, supporting innovation, technical development, and continuous improvement across the Civil & Structural business.
YOUR IMPACT
You’ll play a key role in shaping how projects are delivered across the region, influencing design quality, technical delivery, and team capability. Your work will help deliver buildings that are resilient, sustainable, and aligned with the evolving demands of clients and communities.
Internally, your impact will extend beyond project delivery. Through mentoring, leadership, and collaboration, you’ll help strengthen technical capability within the team while contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the Cardiff business.
