Design the Future of Hampshire – Join Our Team as a CAD Technician
We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced CAD Technician with excellent drafting skills and ideally with building services drafting experience, to generate drawings for our in-house engineering and surveying teams. You will be responsible for the production of detailed drawings from technical information provided by the building services design engineers and surveyors.
You will also be a confident communicator and able to work collaboratively with engineers and surveyors to ensure suitable design and detailing drawings are produced.

You'll play a key role in delivering projects across Hampshire County Council's Corporate Estate, helping to transform and improve buildings through accurate, high-quality technical drawings. Working closely with engineers, surveyors and external partners, you'll turn survey and design information into detailed AutoCAD plans that support projects ranging from refurbishments and upgrades to major extensions.
You'll carry out building surveys when required, ensuring plans are accurate and up to date, while identifying and raising any survey discrepancies. You'll also build strong relationships with project teams, consultants, clients and building users, collaborating to ensure designs are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards. Throughout your work, you'll apply Property Services' CAD standards, templates and protocols to produce professional, consistent and reliable drawing packages.
