Talent-UK are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist on a permanent basis for their client who are a successful engineering business in the Huddersfield area, offering a competitive salary of upto 40K DOE, with excellent modern working conditions and ongoing training and development.
 
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components to customer specifications. You will work from engineering drawings, ensuring all parts meet the highest quality standards while maintaining efficient production.
 
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for:

  • Programme, set and operate CNC turning/ milling machines.
  • Manufacture precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Select tooling and adjust machine settings to optimise production.
  • Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
  • Measure finished components using verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
The CNC Machinist will have:
  • Ideally hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, City & Guilds, NVQ or similar) - time served candidates will also be considered
  • Experience programming and setting CNC lathes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, Siemens or Haas controls.
  Working hours:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Days/ 6am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm (Can be Flexible)
  What is offer to the CNC Machinist:
  • Salary upto £40,000.00 dependant on experience
  • Overtime available at uplifted rates
