Summary
We’re looking for experienced Coded Welders to join an exciting project based at Hinkley Point C on a 2-year fixed-term contract starting August 2026. This role is ideal for skilled welders with a strong safety mindset and experience working to nuclear or other highly regulated standards.

Responsibilities
• Perform welding operations on pipework, plate, and structural components to project specifications and nuclear quality standards.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, welding procedures, and work instructions for correct assembly and fabrication.
• Inspect and verify completed welds for quality, safety, and dimensional compliance, reporting any non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate records of welds, consumables, and inspections as required.
• Take part in daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-job risk assessments.
• Report hazards, incidents, and non-conformances promptly and contribute to investigations.
• Keep the work area organised and safe, promoting operational efficiency.
• Liaise with QA/QC inspectors and other trades to resolve technical queries.
• Follow all site-specific and nuclear safety requirements, including PPE, permit-to-work, and environmental procedures.
Must-have Requirements:
• BS EN ISO 9606 Coded Welding Qualification.
• Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Welding/Fabrication or equivalent apprenticeship.
• ACE Card in Welding Pipe or Plate (or equivalent).
• CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Experience performing welding operations to technical specifications in a high-risk or regulated environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of nuclear safety culture and site requirements.
• Effective teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
• Right to work in the UK.
