We are seeking a dedicated Dumper Truck Operator to join our team in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire. The primary role will be to move waste around our large site, transporting unprocessed or non-recyclable waste to the landfill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating mobile plant machinery, including dumper trucks, forklift trucks, telehandlers, and front-loading shovels.
This role requires a flexible approach to work and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Shifts - Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm
Overtime - Opportunity for overtime (especially during peak seasons)
Holidays - 24 days annual leave + option to buy up to 5 extra days of leave
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting any health and safety hazards or incidents to the Shift Supervisor / Lead Supervisor
Operating mobile plant, including dumper truck, forklift truck, telehandler, front-loading shovel, and 360 excavator, as well as performing first-line maintenance
Vehicle marshalling / controlling the tipping hall operation
Maintaining clean working conditions in the fuel reception area, tipping hall, and delivery routes
Ensuring the constant availability of waste to be processed
Carrying out waste inspections and reporting non-conforming waste
Loading collection vehicles and static plant
Skills and Experience:
Experience of mobile plant (dumper truck, front loader, telehandler, FLT) – desired but not essential as we will provide training
A strong teamwork ethic

An ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment
Experience in an industry such as waste management, quarrying, cement works, construction, or steel would be advantageous
