Purpose of the role:
The Groundworker Apprentice plays a key role in preparing construction and civil engineering sites and supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects. As one of the first trades on-site, the role focuses on setting out work areas, preparing ground surfaces and installing essential elements such as drainage and foundations to enable structural work to begin.
Working alongside engineers, supervisors and other construction trades, the apprentice contributes throughout the full project lifecycle—from initial site preparation through to final completion activities.
