Groundworker Handyman

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for experienced Groundwork Handymen to join our team on a busy project in Faversham. The role will primarily involve external works, and we are looking for operatives with experience in laying kerbs, edgings, slabs, block paving, drainage services and general external groundworks. You will work within an established gang to help deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Laying kerbs, edgings and channels to specification
• Installing paving slabs, block paving and other hard landscaping features
• Carrying out general external works and finishing groundworks
• Assisting with the installation of drainage and underground services
• Concrete works including footpaths, bases and finishing works
• Working safely around existing utilities and services
• Operating small tools and equipment required for external works
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Carrying out daily pre-start inspections on tools and equipment
• Supporting other members of the groundworks gang as required

REQUIREMENTS

• CSCS Groundworker Card or similar qualification
• Previous experience in external works and finishing groundworks
• Experience laying kerbs, slabs, block paving and services
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
• Good understanding of site health and safety
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Ride-On Roller
• CAT & Genny Training
• Abrasive Wheels Training
• Face Fit Certification
• 3+ years of external works / groundworks experience
• Experience working within established gangs

Please note: to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement, please still get in touch as we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
