What you’ll do (the role)

Safety isn't just one of our core values, it's ingrained in our culture. As a growing organisation – building and operating renewable energy projects across the world – health, safety and environment (HSE) will always continue to be a key area of focus for us.

The role will be responsible for defining and driving the HSE strategy across the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. This executive will embed HSE principles, ensure governance and compliance, innovate in sustainability, and lead stakeholder engagement. With a focus on safety, integrity, and sustainability, the role offers a platform for a seasoned HSE leader in renewable energy to influence and innovate within a dynamic global organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Define and champion the overarching HSE vision and strategy across the EMEA region.
• Ability to influence across various levels of leadership.
• Serve as a top executive responsible for embedding HSE principles into the corporate culture and operational practices.
• Lead corporate governance regarding HSE, ensuring accountability and compliance at all levels.
• Drive innovation and excellence in HSE practices, leading the industry in sustainability and safety performance.
• Act as the primary spokesperson on HSE matters with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and the community.
• Identifies critical roles and plans for succession.
• Develops direct reports within the HSE function.

Experience:

• Extensive years of comprehensive experience in HSE leadership roles, with a significant portion at the executive level within the renewable energy sector or related industries.
• Experience with full lifecycle portfolio (developments to operate).

Education and Certifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field, with executive education in business leadership preferred.
• Extensive professional certifications in HSE and leadership excellence preferred.
