Labourer CSCS

Location: Hersham, KT12

Pay range: £135 - £140 per day

Contract Type: Self-employed (Right to Work in the UK required), short-term contract for a maximum of six months

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable Labourer to assist our Materials Controller on-site. In this role, you will work closely with purchasing teams, site teams, and contract managers to ensure that materials are delivered and handled effectively. Additionally, you will be responsible for promptly reporting and resolving any site-related issues.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable with physically demanding tasks. 

Key Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum one year of background in handling construction materials, especially those used in property refurbishment
• Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
• Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with various teams

Main Objectives of the role:

• Receiving and unpacking material deliveries, inspecting for accuracy and damage
• Managing material handling, including loading, unloading, and transporting items manually or with pallet trucks
• Sending out materials to teams on-site
• Assisting in maintaining accurate records of materials issued and received
• Supporting the team in conducting monthly inventories to ensure proper stock control
• Safely disposing of waste materials in compliance with HSE regulations
• Collaborating with site teams to deliver services aligned with contract and company standards
• Reporting site issues to the purchasing team, site teams, or contracts managers for resolution

Do you have what it takes?

• Experience in Social Housing
  
• Valid CSCS
• Right to work in the UK
• Asbestos awareness certificate
  
• Good English conversational level

Desired qualifications:

• Manual handling (can be provided in-house by Pilon)
