About the Role
We are looking for an Electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (80/20) to join our depot maintenance team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring our plant and processing equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. Working on electrical systems, you’ll support continuous improvement, minimise downtime, and contribute to the overall performance of the site. You’ll also benefit from ongoing training and development to expand your technical skillset and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and fault-find on electrical systems.
Work on electrical systems including 3-phase motors, star-delta controls, control panels, sensors, VSD’s and basic PLC fault finding.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs to maximise plant uptime.
Maintain and repair electrical equipment on conveyors, shredders, motors and drive systems.
Drive improvements in electrical standards around site to comply with current legislation.
Ensure all work is completed safely in line with company procedures and health & safety standards.
About You
Completed a time served apprenticeship and gained qualifications of either C&G 2360 part 1 & 2 / C&G 2365 / C&G NVQ 3 Electrotechnical systems or equivalent.
18th Edition certified with electrical and testing certification.
Proven experience as an Electrically biased Multiskilled Engineer.
Strong electrical fault-finding skills within heavy industry/manufacturing environment with basic mechanical skills (80/20).
Experience working on heavy machinery, plant equipment, or processing systems.
Basic PLC fault-finding and setting up VSD’s.
Able to read electrical schematics and build new panels for control systems.
HV trained (Desirable but not essential).
IOSH certification (Desirable but not essential).
