Disaster Care Capital Brentford, England, United Kingdom Full-time 3 hours ago
Skilled Trades

£29,000 - £41,000 GBP yearly

Description

Are you a plumber who likes solving problems, not just swapping taps? We're hiring a Plumber to join our flood and fire restoration team in Brentford.

About Disaster Care Capital

We're a fire and flood restoration company with over 15 years' trading, based in Brentford and covering London and the M25. We're IICRC certified, BDMA members, and approved by major UK insurers. When a property floods, we're who the insurer sends.

The role

You'll be doing hands-on plumbing — leaks, burst pipes, drainage, installations and repairs — on homes and commercial properties that are recovering from water or fire damage. Alongside the plumbing, you'll learn the restoration side: leak detection and drying.

Requirements
  • Carrying out plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance across pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems.
  • Tracing and diagnosing the source of leaks using the right detection methods for the job.
  • Responding to emergency callouts for leaks, burst pipes, and flooding.
  • Supporting full property restoration: water mitigation, drying, dehumidification, mould remediation, fire damage cleaning, strip-outs, and reinstatement prep.
  • Documenting each job with clear photos, notes, and moisture readings via a company tablet or phone.
  • Liaising professionally with homeowners, tenants, insurers, and loss adjusters.
  • Taking part in ongoing training to grow your skills and certifications.

What you'll need

  • 2-3 years' experience as a plumber
  • Solid plumbing fundamentals, with an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, City & Guilds or equivalent — or working towards one
  • A problem-solving mindset — you enjoy working out where a leak is coming from, not just fixing what's obvious
  • A calm, friendly manner with customers, who are often having a bad week
  • Confidence using a smartphone or tablet for reports, photos and timesheets
  • Reliability — people are counting on you to turn up and finish the job properly
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK

Nice to have (or we'll train you)

  • Leak detection experience — acoustic, thermal or tracer gas
  • BDMA or IICRC certification
  • Experience working on insurance-funded jobs

Benefits
  • £29,000 – £41,000 a year, depending on experience
  • Company van and fuel card
  • All tools and PPE provided
  • 20 days' annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • Optional opt-in workplace pension
  • Progression into senior technician, supervisor or leak detection specialist
