A little more about your role…
- We are looking for a Principal or Associate Engineer to support the team leads in managing project delivery, including supervision of tasks and review of deliverables
- You will develop the urban drainage modelling capability in the team, ensuring we are at the forefront of latest developments in the discipline, and provide training and development support to more junior members of the team
- You will support the team lead in managing the work of the local technical delivery team
- Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support our wastewater team in delivering current and future projects and help influence our future approaches to efficient delivery
- The role will enable you to further develop and use your technical skills, applying your expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency
- You will exercise independent engineering judgement and have opportunities to provide innovative solutions to engineering problems. You will be a proactive and collaborative team member
- You will develop and maintain excellent client relationships at all levels, coordinating and facilitating project meetings internally and with clients
- Participate in business development and proposal preparation
- Promote the WSP brand through appropriate industry forums and conferences
- You will contribute to the learning of the wider team through knowledge sharing exercises

- We are currently working across an expanding portfolio of work clients including Severn Trent, Scottish Water Horizons, Welsh Water and Southern Water

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed on your journey in pursuing qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM
- Able to demonstrate clear and successful experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and an ability to check the technical outputs of others prior to issue
- A good working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for the Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards
- Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English
