About Acoustic Comfort
Acoustic Comfort is part of the Gabriel Group, a NASDAQ OMX-listed company that develops, designs and manufactures products and solutions for the global furniture industry. Our offering includes fabrics, furniture and components, as well as specialised services in sample solutions, acoustic comfort, knitting, embossing and lamination.
We are looking for a creative Product Designer to join our team in Peacehaven, just outside Brighton. You will focus on developing a range of acoustic solutions for commercial environments.
The Role
You will contribute to the design and development process from concept through to production-ready solutions. Key responsibilities include:
• Researching market trends, shape product strategy
• Developing and proposing design concepts
• Planning, managing and documenting design tasks
• Creating design proposals, visuals and presentations
• Product development and prototyping
• Obtaining costings and producing estimates
• Generating 3D CAD models, detailed drawings and specification documentation
About You
Essential
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience
• Strong design and development background
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Excellent presentation skills (KeyShot, Adobe Suite or equivalent)
• Solid materials and manufacturing knowledge
• Experience implementing new products
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Organised, with strong communication skills
Desirable
• Freehand sketching ability
• Knowledge of acoustics
• Experience with Viscom
