The role is for a Senior Civil Structural Engineer with strong technical background and knowledge of EPC projects execution.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Perform detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards.
Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations.
Material Tracking
Progress Investigations
Handling Site subcontractor and Fabrication yard interfaces
Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures.
Capable of independent analysis of various problems that are occurring at the interface between the Design Operating Centres and the Procurement and Construction functions.
Able Excel data manipulation and reporting in order to pinpoint potential problems and communication them to Engineering Manager level.
Be able to interact with Client engineers in a clear and tactful way to ensure the Design Operating Centres can progress their work smoothly.
Clearly communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding.
Liase with All Engineering disciplines, Construction site/Fabrication Group, Safety Dept, Document Control, Procurement Group, Subcontractors and Vendors, and Customers.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
At least 10-15 yrs in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design
Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society as applicable
Good knowledge of engineering standards and specifications
Good knowledge of engineering software (STAAD, Mat 3D, etc..)
Able to work independently
Good working knowledge of English, both oral and written
HSE and cost conscious
Good technical structural knowledge
Good organizer, motivator and Keen on improving effectiveness of the work
