Role description:

  • Working as part of and managing a team alongside members of the Cost & Commercial Management Career family to manage and deliver projects
  • Liaising with external contractors and consultants
  • Reporting to clients and stakeholders
  • Will manage the delivery of cost management in a mix of medium / large sized Health / developments or significant components of larger cost management assignments
  • Responsible for delivering their scope of work in line with various controls, and will have significant technical knowledge and experience in their field

Role accountabilities:

  • Manage budgets, produce financial reports, and control cost variables
  • Deliver a portfolio of cost projects or major components of larger assignments, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery
  • Advise on risk management and compliance, escalating issues as needed
  • Analyse data to identify trends and provide recommendations for decision-making
  • Apply industry best practices to improve processes and drive innovation
  • Coach and support team members to share knowledge and raise service standards
  • Collaborate across teams and functions to support cost-effective project delivery
  • Provide technical advice and solutions to senior management
  • Build strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new opportunities
  • Understand client objectives and the sector context

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Health sector experience is desirable
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues, demonstrating emerging leadership skills
  • Skilled in building and managing relationships with external stakeholders and clients
  • Experience managing business relationships at a middle-management level
  • Capable of leading projects from inception to completion
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Holds a relevant professional qualification or chartered status
  • CSCS card holder
