This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cormac apprentice programme as a Civil/Structures Engineering Degree Apprentice. Whilst working for Cormac you will gain a level 6 degree qualification and experience within the Structures team -Infrastructure Consultancy. The structures team specializes in the design, inspection, assessment and maintenance of structural assets across Cornwall. You will be working towards becoming an Incorporated Engineer and will be expected to successfully complete an End Point Assessment and professional review with the Institution of Civil Engineers at the end of your 5-year apprenticeship. Cormac will provide a mentor to support your progress across the apprenticeship.

About the Role
After two years of experience in civil engineering, you will be able to provide a higher level of specialised technical support to the Structures team, civil engineers and other construction professionals.

We are looking for:
An individual with a strong passion for mathematics and a genuine interest in solving engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about understanding how structures function and eager to contribute to the development of schemes involving structural assessment, refurbishment, and design.

Candidates should bring curiosity, problem‑solving ability, and a desire to develop their engineering expertise.
5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including maths and English

Salary: £20,202 per year
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: permanent, full time
Location: Cornwall - you will be allocated to a site and permanent supervisor upon appointment.
