Day General Operative

Hours: 6am – 4pm
Location: Penmaenmawr
Salary: £13.68 - £13.93ph

Join Our Team

We are seeking reliable, hardworking General Operatives to support our busy Production and Distribution functions. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same — ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop new skills. Full in‑house training is provided.

About the Role

As a General Operative, you will carry out a range of duties across our site, including:

Production Responsibilities

  • Operating high-speed bagging lines as part of the manufacturing process.

  • Maintaining consistent product quality suitable for the retail market.

  • Completing all in‑process documentation accurately and on time.

  • Performing regular maintenance checks on bagging lines.

  • Working to daily production plans and ensuring line efficiency is maximised.

Loading & Distribution Responsibilities

  • Moving stock safely and efficiently.

  • Loading heavy goods vehicles in line with despatch requirements.

  • Accurately picking and preparing orders according to picking tickets.

  • Supporting forklift and shovel operations once fully trained.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong team player with a flexible approach.

  • Ability to follow safe systems of work and meet Health & Safety requirements at all times.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different duties as needed.

  • Previous experience in a similar environment is beneficial but not essential — full training is provided.

Qualifications

  • A current Counterbalance Forklift Certificate is preferred.

  • Training can be provided for suitable candidates.
