About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join the Epta UK Contracting team. Reporting to the Electrical Installation Manager and working closely with our Project Managers, you’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of client projects to the highest standard.

This is a permanent, site-based role offering flexible working , with occasional travel to our Bradford office and sites as required. As an Installation Electrician, you’ll be self-motivated work with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with client expectations and relevant industry standards. Flexibility is essential, as some evening or weekend work may be required which can include nights.

 

Your Contribution

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and controls that support refrigeration plant and associated equipment. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve night and weekend work to accommodate client operations and project schedules. You’ll work under the guidance of the Electrical Installation Manager collaborate with Project Managers, coordinating with internal teams and nominated subcontractors to help achieve successful project outcomes.

  1. Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of refrigeration and associated electrical systems.
  2. Perform Inspection & Testing of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and completion of relevant certification (EIC, EICR, Minor Works).
  3. Work alongside refrigeration engineers to connect, commission, and maintain plant, controls, and associated electrical supplies.
  4. Identify and rectify electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime whilst ensuring all work is completed in line with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  5. Liaise with clients, site managers, and project teams to ensure seamless coordination of works and maintain accurate reports, test results, and documentation

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your journey (qualifications & skills)

You bring a strategic mindset, a proactive and adaptable approach, and strong analytical skills, all underpinned by a customer and team focused attitude. Your clear communication skills and collaborative attitude make you a reliable and confident presence on site.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance within commercial or industrial environments.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety and safe working practices.

 

Desirable experience:

  • Experience working with refrigeration, HVAC, or building services systems.
  • Understanding or experience with electrical controls, sensors, and BMS interfaces.
  • ECS or JIB Gold Card.
