General Operative – Join Our Production & Distribution Team

Are you hands‑on, reliable and ready to be part of a high‑performing production and distribution team? We’re looking for a motivated General Operative to support our fast-paced site operations. Full training is provided—so if you’re eager, hardworking and safety‑conscious, we’d love to meet you!
About the Role
As a General Operative, you’ll play a vital part across our production and loading/distribution processes. Your role could include:
Operating high‑speed bagging lines to support continuous production
Providing forklift truck support (training provided)
Supporting the loading of heavy goods vehicles for dispatch
Managing the safe movement of stock
Providing cover for forklift or shovel drivers when trained
You’ll receive full in‑house training and continuous support to help you excel in all aspects of your role.
Key Responsibilities
Working accurately to the daily production plan
Completing and maintaining all required in‑process documentation
Ensuring consistent, high‑quality products suitable for retail
Picking orders accurately following supplied picking tickets
Upholding the highest standards of Health & Safety
Carrying out regular maintenance on bagging line equipment
Optimising the efficiency of bagging lines
What We’re Looking For
Ability to operate machinery safely (full training provided)
Willingness to drive forklift trucks when trained
Strong team player with a flexible, proactive approach
Ability to follow company Health & Safety guidelines
A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Certificate is desirable
Training can be provided if required
