We are looking for an ambitious Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Leeds or Newcastle, where you’ll work on a wide range of sustainable infrastructure and development projects that make a real difference to communities.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your design skills, gain exposure across the full project lifecycle, and work alongside experienced engineers who are invested in your professional growth.

What you’ll be doing:

We’re keen to hear from graduate engineers with experience who are early in their career but eager to learn, take responsibility and progress.

About You:

  • A good grounding in drainage design, SuDS and infrastructure layouts
  • Experience using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage
  • An interest in development-led infrastructure such as roads, car parks, drainage and earthworks
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or similar), with industry experience
  • A desire to work towards professional chartership (ICE or equivalent)

Why join Stantec?

  • At Stantec, you’ll be part of a global consultancy with a strong local presence, where graduate development, collaboration and technical excellence are genuinely valued. You’ll benefit from:
  • Exposure to high-quality, varied projects across the UK
  • Clear career development pathways and support towards chartership
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture where your ideas are encouraged
  • The chance to work on projects that support sustainable, resilient communities

If you’re looking for a role where you can build strong foundations for your civil engineering career, gain hands-on experience and grow with a respected consultancy, we’d love to hear from you.
