Groundworker

As a Skilled Groundworker, you will be responsible for delivering high-standard external and infrastructure works, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience installing kerbs and edgings to line and level

• Skilled in slab laying and block paving

• Competent in cutting out and reinstating tarmac

• Experienced in laying ducts and associated groundwork

• Ability to work from drawings and site instructions

• Confident in setting out levels and maintaining accuracy

• Knowledge of sub-base preparation and compaction requirements

• Strong understanding of materials used in road formation and paving works

• Ability to carry out daily pre-start checks on tools and small plant

• Awareness of safe working practices, particularly around live services

Desirable

• CPCS/NPORS tickets

• Experience operating small plant such as rollers, dumpers, or saws

• 5+ years’ experience in external works or infrastructure projects

• Established gangs or teams who work well together
