Introduction to the Painter and Decorator Role.

  • Apply paint, varnish, and wallpaper to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling, sanding, and priming.
  • Carry out minor repairs, such as filling holes and cracks.
  • Advise on colour schemes and finishes to match the hotel’s design.
  • Work with the maintenance manager to manage the inventory of painting tools and materials.
  • Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimise disruption to guests.
  • Perform regular inspections and touch-ups in high-traffic areas.
  • Assist the maintenance team in completing other day-to-day maintenance tasks.
