ETG Civil Engineering is looking for a Plant Administrator to manage the administration of our busy plant department. They will be responsible for the administration of our fleet of assets. ETG is a busy well-established groundworks contractor based near Droitwich, Worcestershire.
The successful candidate must have experience with all forms of construction machinery and tools. Due to the nature of the business the candidate must have a dynamic approach to problem solving, be extremely organised and be able to think on their feet.
The main responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive and the candidate will be expected to grow and adapt with in their role depending on the needs of the business.
Asset management
- Ensure and identify that all plant, vehicles and tools are maintained to a high level to ensure health and safety is at the forefront of the business.
- Oversee servicing, maintenance and repair schedules for all the company assets.
- Liaise with external and internal contractors to ensure all MOT’s, repairs and services are carried out in accordance with required deadlines.
- Ensure all vehicles are fitted with trackers and have a fuel card.
- Manage asset register, service records, and compliance (MOT’s, LOLWER & PUWER and Tax)
- Ensure the asset management software (HILTI on!Track) is updated (daily) and assets are tracked.
- Carry out checks pre-site and off-site checks to ensure all damages are accounted for and repaired.
- Working in conjunction with the director handle the procurement, purchase and disposal of equipment.
- Ensure all the correct documentation is sent to site.
- External hire – minimise the requirement of external plant hire through efficient asset management. When required fully manage external plant hire requirements and ensure the equipment is maintained to reduce damage charges and off hired in a timely manner.
- Carry out site audits when required.
- General office administration duties when required.
Financial
- Ensure all financial impacts are considered and any repairs, purchases and other associated costs are competitive.
- Check and monitor all invoices relating to your department. Query where required and liaise with accounts department when required.
- Internal plant and transports costs. Working with the business support department ensure that all assets are costed correctly for internal project costings.
Transport and Logistics
- Working with the Yard Assistant you will be required to orchestrate all asset and material movements in an efficient manor, by planning routes, scheduling deliveries liaising with the operations and the procurement department.
General Requirements
- In depth knowledge of plant, tool and vehicles required.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation and HGV regulations.
- Ability to work autonomy, manage multiple priorities and solve complex problem.
- High attention to detail.
- Computer efficient.
- Proactive attitude to problem solving
This is a full-time on-site position based at our office in Hanbury.
£30,000 depending on the candidate
28 days annual leave (including 8 days statutory)
Based on 47.5 hours per week (Working hours to be agreed usually 7am – 5pm)
