We are on a mission to bring all the empty properties back to the community through property guardianship – a sustainable and affordable solution for empty buildings. We protect empty properties by placing working professionals from local communities into vacant properties. A Guardian protects the building 24/7 and brings back the community to life.
We are looking for a Plumber on a permanent, full-time basis. The role will be based in Cuffley, UK but you will be working across the London area.
As a Plumber you will ensure that all plumbing systems across Global Guardians managed properties are maintained and repaired to a high standard, providing safe, functional, and habitable environments for our property guardian customers.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and reactive plumbing maintenance and repair tasks at properties across London.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, faulty fixtures, and drainage problems.
- Install and maintain water supply systems, waste pipework, sanitary ware, and other plumbing-related components.
- Ensure all plumbing work meets current water regulations, building standards, and internal company quality requirements.
- Liaise professionally with the Operations Team, tenants, and other stakeholders to coordinate access and job scheduling.
- Use the “My Globe” digital job management system to log tasks, update job progress, and submit completion notes/photos.
- Ensure safe handling and security of tools, equipment, and property keys.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional working environment on-site at all times.
- Prioritise job tasks in an efficient and logical order based on operational needs and workload.
- Determine the most suitable repair method or installation approach within job scope and materials provided.
Requirements - Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.(required)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
- Water Regulations (WRAS) certification – desirable.
- Unvented hot water (G3) qualification – desirable.
- CSCS card and basic Health & Safety certification – preferred.
- Proven experience in a dedicated plumbing role, ideally within residential or facilities management environments.
- Strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with water systems, waste systems, and general pipework.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Confident using digital job tracking tools or willingness to learn “My Globe”.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites with a proactive, professional attitude.
Physical Demands of the Job
- Site-based work 5 days per week across London.
- Manual handling and working in confined spaces required.
- Driving between sites.
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
BenefitsSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
