Senior Account Manager / Project Manager Commercial Architecture & Interior Fit-Outs

The opportunity

We are recruiting a Senior Account Manager / Project Manager to join Hurstwood Design Group, delivering commercial interior fit-out and architectural projects for leading hospitality, food and retail brands across the UK and Europe.

Hurstwood Design Group is a specialist commercial design and delivery studio, known for creating and rolling out branded environments for some of the UK’s and Europe’s best-known operators.

Hurstwood works in close collaboration with HAPA Architects, a Brighton-based, award-winning architecture studio. While HAPA is best known for contemporary and sustainable architecture, this role sits entirely within Hurstwood’s commercial, brand-led interior and fit-out work.

You will be working with the Hurstwood team, supported by HAPA as a sister studio.

This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who enjoys managing multiple live projects, building strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality commercial environments.

The role

You will be responsible for managing and delivering commercial projects from early design through to site completion, acting as the key point of contact for clients and project teams.

You will:

• Act as the primary client contact for hospitality and retail brands
• Manage multiple commercial fit-out and architectural projects from concept to completion
• Coordinate design teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Lead design, technical and construction meetings, remotely and on site
• Oversee programmes, budgets, approvals and technical coordination
• Ensure projects meet brand standards, commercial objectives and roll-out deadlines
• Work closely with the Hurstwood team and HAPA leadership to support and grow this commercial partnership

About you

You will come from a commercial architecture or interior fit-out background and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, client-led environment.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A background in architecture, architectural technology or the built environment
• Experience as a Project Manager, Account Manager, Senior Architect or Technologist in commercial or interior fit-out
• Strong understanding of technical delivery, coordination and construction processes
• Confidence dealing with clients, consultants and contractors
• Excellent organisation, commercial awareness and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and tight programmes
• Be based in the UK, ideally in Sussex or the South East
• Be willing to make regular visits to the Brighton office (position is part office and part remote), as well as attend site and client meetings across the UK and sometimes Europe
