Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Site Manager to join our team in Leeds, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our water treatment facility, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of water quality and safety.

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of water treatment operations at the site
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise water treatment processes and improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and water quality standards
  • Oversee health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
  • Manage and mentor a team of water treatment operators and technicians
  • Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and operational forecasts
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and other stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements and new technologies
  • Respond to and resolve any water quality issues or emergencies promptly
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports on water quality and site operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in water management or a related field, with previous site management experience
  • Proven expertise in water treatment processes and environmental regulations
  • Strong knowledge of water quality standards and environmental compliance
  • Proficiency in project management and team leadership
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office and water management software
  • Relevant water management certifications (e.g., Water Treatment Operator Certification)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial aspects of site operations
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies
